Our engineers discuss the high-scoring Impala, Ram, and Santa Fe

In episode 9 of our podcast, Talking Cars with Consumer Reports, we discuss test results for four high-scoring cars: Chevrolet Impala, Hyundai Santa Fe, Kia Forte, and Ram 1500.

Since we're subject to buying our test cars only when they finally go on sale, it was simply the luck of the draw that we wound up with this recent group of overachievers. The Impala is our new top-scoring sedan, the Ram is king among our truck ratings, the Forte scores second among in the small sedan category, and the Santa Fe reigns as our top midsized SUV. That makes for quite a group.

Director of Auto Testing Jake Fisher and senior engineers Gabe Shenhar and Tom Mutchler talk about these results, as well as our recent first drive of the Chevrolet Spark EV. We also answer a reader question about testing cars with manual transmissions.
