Every year pickup trucks are among the top-selling new vehicles. They often do double- or even triple-duty for consumers: a job-site-ready work truck during the week, a family vehicle on nights and weekends, and a vacation-friendly vehicle suitable for long-distance trips towing a boat or camper.

These trucks are available with a variety of cab sizes, powertrains, bed lengths, and comfort features. That world of possibilities also makes it hard to narrow down your choices. Fortunately, we’ve tested multiple versions of the Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Ford F-150, and Ram 1500.

    More on Pickup Trucks

To guide you to pick the best truck for your needs, we take an in-depth look at each truck, compare how they fare in CR’s testing, and determine which one is the clear-cut winner. We present them in descending order of Overall Score, rolling together our test and survey findings along with key safety information.
