Sound quality: Tribit's StormBox Micro 2 had acceptable overall sound quality - this model reproduces music and dialog reasonably well despite the obvious shortcomings in its sound. Bass has so so impact, but is somewhat subdued and does not go deep. Midrange is a bit thin and hazy, a touch etched, and somewhat grainy. Treble is somewhat sizzly, smeared and dry and lacks extension. Does a so-so job of recovering room ambience and sounds somewhat congested. The speaker is monophonic. When two units are used as a stereo pair the sound stage can be made wider depending on placement. Provides a decent volume level in a small sized room.
