Sound quality: Tribit's Stormbox Blast 2 had acceptable overall sound quality - this model reproduces music and dialog reasonably well despite the obvious shortcomings in its sound. The bass has good impact and goes deep but is somewhat prominent, boomy and a touch tubby. Midrange is fairly even but is a somewhat hazy, grainy and a touch plasticky and congested. Treble is fairly extended but is a bit smeared, sizzly and subdued. Does a decent job of recovering room ambience and is a touch congested. The sound field extends a bit above and not much to the sides of the speaker enclosure. Individual instruments and voices are identifiable but have a two dimensional quality. Volume:
Provides a decent volume level in a large sized room.
