Sound quality: Soundcore by Anker's Motion Boom Plus had Good overall sound quality - this model reproduces music and dialog reasonably well despite the obvious shortcomings in its sound. With the Custom EQ set for the most even tonal balance, bass has good impact and goes fairly deep, but is a bit prominent, and a bit to somewhat boomy depending on programming material. Midrange is fairly even but is a bit grainy, and hazy. Treble is extended but is a bit smeared. Does a so-so job of recovering room ambience and is a bit congested. There is no significant difference between Bluetooth and Aux inputs. When two units are combined to form a stereo pair, the sound stage can be made wider depending on placement. Provides a decent volume level in a large sized room.

Manufacturer claims IP67 dust and water resistance. Can connect unlimited Soundcore PartyCast speakers for sound reinforcement (increased evenness of sound spread and/or volume in a given area). Can be used with another Motion Boom Plus model as a stereo pair. Unit comes with detachable shoulder strap. Free Soundcore app download for Apple and Android mobile devices can be used to adjust tonal balance, act as a remote control, connect another Motion Boom Plus speaker for stereo pairing or other compatible Soundcore PartyCast speakers for sound reinforcement, and update the unit's firmware. Firmware version 0.39 (updated on 10/5/22), Apple app version 3.0.6, Android app version 3.0.8.
