Sound quality: Soundcore's Motion 300 had acceptable overall sound quality - this model reproduces music and dialog reasonably well despite the obvious shortcomings in its sound. With the speaker in the standing orientation, and the soundcore app Custom EQ set to produce the most even tonal balance bass has good impact, but is a bit prominent and boomy and deep bass is lacking. Midrange is fairly even, but is somewhat hazy and a bit soft. Treble is fairly extended, but is a bit subdued, sizzly, smeared and dry. Does a decent job of recovering room ambience and is a bit congested. When two units are used as a stereo pair the sound stage can be made wider depending on placement. Provides a decent volume level in a medium sized room.

Manufacturer claims the unit is IPX7 water resistant. Can be used with another Motion 300 model as a stereo pair. Free Soundcore app download for Apple and Android mobile devices can be used to adjust tonal balance, act as a remote control, connect another Motion 300 speaker for stereo pairing, and update the unit's firmware. Android 8.0 and above devices can enable the LDAC codec via Soundcore app for a higher bitrate (Hi-Res) 990Kbps audio connection. LDAC is not available on apple devices. Firmware version 1.1.5, Apple app version 3.4.9, Android app version 3.5.0
