Sound quality: Soundcore's Boom 2 Plus had acceptable overall sound quality - this model reproduces music and dialog reasonably well despite the obvious shortcomings in its sound. The bass has good impact and goes fairly deep, but is somewhat prominent and boomy. Midrange is even but is a somewhat grainy and sibilant. Treble is fairly extended but is a somewhat smeared, a bit sizzly and subdued. Does a so so job of recovering room ambience in the upper midrange and not much elsewhere and is somewhat congested. The sound field extends a bit above and to the sides of the speaker enclosure. Individual instruments and voices are identifiable but have a two dimensional quality. Volume:
Provides a decent volume level in a medium to large sized room.
