Sound quality: LG's XBOOM 360 had middling/satisfactory overall sound quality - this model reproduces music and dialog reasonably well despite the obvious shortcomings in its sound. With the LG Xboom app EQ setting set for the most even tonal balance, the bass has good impact, and goes fairly deep, but is a bit prominent and boomy. Midrange is fairly even, but is somewhat hazy and grainy, and a bit plasticky. Treble is fairly extended but is somewhat sizzly and smeared. Does a decent job recovering room ambience, sounds somewhat congested. The speaker is monophonic. The various user EQ modes make an obvious difference in the sound. No significant difference between Bluetooth and Aux sound quality. Provides a decent volume level in a medium to large sized room.

Can connect to another LG XBOOM 360 unit to play stereo sound in Wireless Party Link Dual mode. Can connect to multiple compatible LG Bluetooth speaker for sound reinforcement in Wireless Party Link Multi mode. LG XBoom app available for Android 5.0 or later and iOS 10 or later can be used to update firmware, change EQ settings, change light modes, switch inputs, turn on sleep timer, and toggle the auto power management. LG XBoom app also has Play/pause, next track and previous track controls for playback of audio files stored on the device the app was downloaded to.
