Sound quality: Klipsch's Groove XXL - Black had acceptable overall sound quality - this model reproduces music and dialog reasonably well despite the obvious shortcomings in its sound. Bass has good impact and goes deep, but is prominent and boomy. Midrange is fairly even, but is somewhat hazy, a bit grainy, and depending on the program material can be overwhelmed by the bass. Treble is fairly extended, but is a bit subdued, smeared, and sizzly. It does a decent job of recovering room ambience, but sounds a bit congested. There is no significant difference between Bluetooth, USB and Aux inputs. Provides a decent volume level in a large sized room. This model would have earned a next level higher sound quality score, but due to the excessive bass the score was limited.
