Sound quality: Beats by Dre's Pill (2024) had acceptable overall sound quality - this model reproduces music and dialog reasonably well despite the obvious shortcomings in its sound. Bass has good impact but is soft and lacking in detail and may get distorted/compressed with some content at louder volumes and deep bass is lacking. Midrange is somewhat hazy, a bit grainy, constricted and a touch sibilant. Treble is extended but is sizzly and smeared and a bit prominent. Doesn't do a good job of recovering room ambience and is a touch congested and with some content can sound compressed/limited and harsh. Can provide enough volume to be heard in a medium sized room but is better suited for listening at lower volumes. This speaker is monophonic. Individual instruments and voices sound a bit congested and two-dimensional. This model can stereo pair with another unit since two separate speakers are used the sound stage can be made wider depending on placement.
