Design and features:This Bluetooth wireless noise-canceling portable earbud model provides very good sound and fair active noise reduction. Its non-isolating design doesn't muffle outside sounds so you'll be able to hear that door bell ring, train announcement, or car horn when you are wearing these earphones. However, its electronic noise canceling feature seeks to reduce some outside noise.
Additional features include:
Has integrated volume control, microphone, and call connect/disconnect control. Either earpiece can be used alone for one ear monitoring of Bluetooth streamed audio and telephone communications.
Sound quality:We found the Galaxy Buds3 delivers sound quality that falls in the very good range - it reproduces music and voice very well although it does have some noticeable sonic quirks and fair active noise reduction. With the app equalizer set at Balanced setting (As received state of the earphone verified using the Samsung Galaxy Wearable app) and the noise cancelling mode engaged the bass (as in bass drums, bass guitars, stand-up bass, etc.) has good impact and goes deep, but is a bit boomy. The midrange (voices, guitars, horns, etc.) is fairly even, but is a bit grainy and hazy, a touch sibilant and plasticky. The treble (cymbals, the upper range of violins, etc.) is fairly extended, but is somewhat sizzly (sounds that should have a delicate shimmer have a sound reminiscent of bacon frying) and a bit smeared. While the sound has a good sense of liveliness, it is closed (sound-wise it's obvious you have something plugging your ears) and does a decent job of recovering room ambience. Warm character. The overall sound can be summarized as sizzly and bit hazy. The tone settings of the app do have a noticeable effect on the sound of these earphones.
Noise Canceling:
Fair noise reduction across the entire frequency range with the low frequencies reduced the most. Orientation changes the noise reduction characteristic - when the noise is coming from the rear a bit less high-frequency noise can be heard relative to when it's coming from the front or side. No sound can be heard in quiet environments when there is no audio program to drown it out.
Comfort and Fit:We found that these earphones produce no pressure in ear canal.
Small
Users with small sized ear bowls will probably find that this model stays in place with no problems for casual use, they are stable even during vigorous head movement, and they are unobtrusive so it's easy to forget they are being worn.
Medium
Users with medium sized ear bowls will probably find that this model stays in place with no problems for casual use, they are stable even during vigorous head movement, and they are unobtrusive so it's easy to forget they are being worn.
Large
Users with large sized ear bowls will probably find that this model stays in place with no problems for casual use, they are stable even during fairly vigorous head movement, and they are unobtrusive so it's easy to forget they are being worn.
The controls are on the earphone stems that hang out of the ears and can be actuated without causing ear discomfort.
Incidental contact with the touch controls can cause unintentional volume level changes, playing, pausing, track skipping, or ambient sound monitoring.
Hitting the stem that hangs out of the ear can knock an earphone loose and cause it to fall out of the ear.
