Design and features:This Bluetooth wireless noise-canceling portable earbud model provides very good sound and good active noise reduction. Its non-isolating design doesn't muffle outside sounds so you'll be able to hear that door bell ring, train announcement, or car horn when you are wearing these earphones. However, its electronic noise canceling feature seeks to reduce some outside noise.
Additional features include:
Has integrated , microphone, and call connect/disconnect control.
Either earpiece can be used alone for one ear monitoring of Bluetooth streamed audio and telephone communications.
Sound quality:We found the AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancelling delivers sound quality that falls in the very good range - it reproduces music and voice very well although it does have some noticeable sonic quirks and good active noise reduction. The bass (as in bass drums, bass guitars, stand-up bass, etc.) has good impact and goes deep, but is somewhat prominent and boomy. The midrange (voices, guitars, horns, etc.) is even, but is a bit hazy and grainy. The treble (cymbals, the upper range of violins, etc.) is fairly extended but a bit smeared and a touch prominent and sizzly (sounds that should have a delicate shimmer have a sound reminiscent of bacon frying). The sound also has a good sense of liveliness and is somewhat open--sound-wise it almost seems like you don't have anything plugging up your ears and does a decent job of recovering room ambience. Warmish character. The overall sound can best be summarized as somewhat bassy and a bit hazy. The Spatial Audio feature has a noticeable effect on the sound.
Noise Canceling:
Acceptable noise reduction across the entire frequency range with the low frequencies reduced the most. Orientation does not changes the noise reduction characteristic. The noise canceling feature does not produce any background noise that can be heard when there is no audio program to drown it out.
Comfort and Fit:As typical for this type of earbud there is little to no pressure in the ear canal.

Controls
The controls are on the earphone stems that hang out of the ears and can be actuated without causing ear discomfort.
Incidental contact with the touch controls can cause unintentional volume level changes, playing, pausing, track skipping, or ambient sound monitoring.
Stability
Hitting the stem that hangs out of the ear can knock an earphone loose and cause it to fall out of the ear.
