This phone can work during household AC power loss with its base corded phone. It has very good voice quality when talking and listening. We found this phone very good to use. It has very good message quality and very good answerer ease of use. It also has a generous 46-minute message recording time. This phone can pair cell phones and wireless headsets via Bluetooth and also transfer your address book via Bluetooth. It handles two phone lines and can conference handset to handset, like an intercom.
Phone features include a USB port for charging smartphones and other devices, a lighted keypad, which is essential if using the phone in a dark room, talking caller ID, any-key answer and voice-mail indicator. To save energy and extend battery life, the phone automatically reduces radio power when its base is nearby. It also has chain dialing (helpful if you frequently use calling cards), multilingual menus, Push-to-talk (PTT) feature and is conferencing capable with an outside line. It's Energy Star compliant. Additionally, the answerer has an audible new message alert.
On the downside, Bluetooth headset capability is limited because Bluetooth headsets typically have about a 30-foot range from the base. Phone setup is overly complicated. Handset lacks auto talk. Answerer lacks announce-only mode.
