Detailed Test Results

This phone has very good voice quality when talking, good when listening. We found ease of use for this phone to be very good. Very good message quality, adequate 14-minute message recording time, and very good answerer ease of use. Can conference handset to handset, as well as with an outside line.

Phone features include lighted keypad, which is essential if using the phone in a dark room, talking caller ID, any-key answer, voice-mail indicator, multilingual menus, and chain dialing, helpful if you frequently use calling cards. To save energy and extend battery life, the phone automatically reduces radio power when its base is nearby. It's Energy Star compliant. Answerer has an audible new message alert, and you can record answerer greeting using a handset.

On the downside, phone had noticeable background noise. Phone lacks auto talk and a headset jack, which is a useful feature for hands-free operation. Answerer lacks announce-only mode.
