    Detailed Test Results

PICTURE QUALITY. This model, like all of the other models in our Ratings, had excellent picture quality when playing 4K UHD and Blu-ray discs. It did very well with standard DVDs, displaying the best detail possible.

EASE OF USE. However, we noted that the console lacks all transport controls and navigation except for EJECT. Its fit to the hand is excellent and A bit blocky and lacks a notch for finger but well balanced. It has direct access button(s) for YouTube, Netflix.
SPEED. The startup time was 18 seconds, slower than most models. With its quick-start feature enabled, the startup time became 1 second. The DVD load time was typical of many models -- 14 seconds. The eject time was 5 seconds, typical of most models.
INTERNET FEATURES. At the time of testing the firmware version was v1.15.01, which included these streaming services: Netflix, YouTube.
CONTROLS AND CONNECTIVITY. It has built-in Wi-Fi for wirelessly connecting to a home network, handy if you don't have a nearby Ethernet jack. The player is DLNA certified, so you can access digital photos, videos, and music stored on a PC, phone, tablet, or other device connected to your home network.
