Chris Harto serves as a Senior Policy Analyst, Transportation and Energy for Consumers Reports’ Washington, D.C. office, where he leads research on clean vehicles, fuel economy, energy efficiency, clean energy, utility policy, and other energy and environmental topics. Mr. Harto has over 15 years’ experience performing research and analysis supporting federal and state agencies including DOE, BLM, DOD, and DHS while employed at Engergetics Inc., Argonne National Laboratory, and Battelle Memorial Institute. His alma maters are Arizona State University (M.S.) where he was a member of the inaugural class of the School of Sustainability, and Ohio State University (B.S.) where he studied Chemical Engineering.
