Having a baby is not easy on the wallet, so finding ways to save on all the things you’ll need is helpful. But whether you’re a new parent or a seasoned pro, having a little one often leaves you with little time to comparison shop, let alone find a good deal.

There are some good discounts if you need a bottle warmer, sterilizer, or any other product for your little one. Without any major sales, you won’t see a ton of offers right now, but more may pop up closer to Labor Day when some retailers have modest sitewide sales for the holiday weekend. If you’re able to wait a few months, the holiday shopping season is not that far off, and I can say with a good degree of confidence that you will find more and better deals around Black Friday, and even in October if Amazon holds its Prime Big Deal Days sale again this year.

As Consumer Reports’ Deals expert, I’ve done some legwork to get you started. I’ve combed through all the different products for children that we’ve tested, including strollers, car seats (including free ratings available to everyone for this category), baby monitors, and safety gates, to pinpoint the ones that scored well in CR’s labs and at-home tests and offer some savings. I’ve been tracking these prices for a long time, so I’m taking into account what things have cost in recent weeks and months to help give you a complete picture of what you’re really saving, tariffs or otherwise.

Looking for something else? We’re always tracking the prices of everything we test. Check out our Deals Hub for the latest updates on the best sales on tech devices, home goods, and more.

    Baby Bottles

    Comotomo Baby Bottle Double Pack

    Comotomo Baby Bottle Double Pack

These soft, silicone bottles are still on sale for their Prime Day price, and proved popular in our recent tests. Parents gravitated toward the Comotomo bottle in part because it resembles a breast and, for a baby, might be closer to the experience of breastfeeding. Overall, parents were happy with the ease of use and cleaning but rated the ease of filling a 4/5. When transferring liquids into these bottles, put a bowl or other container underneath to catch spills. But once the bottle is filled, one Utah mom said older babies would be excellent at feeding themselves because the material and shape are comfortable to hold, and squish with their adorable baby hands.”

Dr. Brown's Natural Flow Anti-Colic Options + Narrow Bottle

Dr. Brown's Natural Flow Anti-Colic Options + Narrow Bottle

This baby bottle could be a good option if you have a colicky baby. Of our testers, a NICU mom said the extremely accurate measurements made the bottle a must-have. Parents loved this bottle, but some babies might struggle. Filling it was simple (it got a 5/5 rating), but some parents ranked it lower (3/5) for being a bit more difficult for their baby to hold. These bottles might be slightly harder to fill than some others on the list, with a bit of a narrower opening, and one parent said that some formula powder would sometimes miss the opening. One even said they kept a funnel around for improved milk transfer.

    Bottle Warmers

Dr. Brown's Natural Flow Milk Spa

Dr. Brown's Natural Flow Milk Spa

Dr. Brown’s Natural Flow Milk Spa uses a warm water bath to warm bottles, but setup is a bit more involved than with other models we tested. Once that’s done, it warms bottles with no sign of overheating long after the warming program has ended. The controls on this model allow users to select the type of bottle and starting temperature of the milk or formula (frozen, refrigerated, or room temperature) and to adjust the time of the program. Even though the display is a bit crowded, according to our usability expert, it was relatively easy to use and understand. If you like to reuse settings, this model remembers any adjustments to time that are made for your next bottle warming.

    Bassinets

The Ronbei Bedside Bassinet can be used freestanding or as a bedside sleeper, with the fabric unzipped for easier access to your baby. In bedside sleeper mode, the unit must be secured to the side of the parents’ bed with the included straps for safety, and the height is adjustable to fit most bed frames. We liked the overall design, including the fact that this bassinet is height-adjustable.

    Car Seats

The pricier Fit4 excels at both installing via LATCH and a vehicle’s seat belt, whether rear-facing or forward-facing. This is important because this seat is a hefty 26 pounds, and that means you’ll have to switch from lower anchors to a belt installation sooner than you might with other seats. This seat features Chicco’s Super Cinch technology, which makes it easier to tighten the lower anchor strap. The Fit4 scores a “Best” for crash protection and has excellent belt fit in booster mode.

    Cribs

The Newton Galileo Convertible Crib won over testers and earned our CR Recommended mark, thanks to its solid construction of sustainable beechwood, a hardwood that the company says is more resistant to bite marks than softwoods, like pine, though CR didn’t test this claim. The modern design feels both minimalist and whimsical due to the arch detailing. Our testers also liked how simple it was to change the crib mattress height among the three positions, though the assembly was a little less intuitive than it was for some other models we put together. We liked that the toddler rail was included to convert it into a toddler bed. It also converts into a daybed, no extra parts needed.

This crib is made from New Zealand pine, and it’s easier to change the mattress-support height than it is with other top-rated cribs. It’s also Greenguard Gold Certified, which means the product has been tested to ensure lower emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). But it’s a bit more difficult to put together than other cribs in our ratings. At 34 inches tall, this is one of the shortest cribs we tested, making it a great choice for petite parents, especially those with sensitive cesarean section incisions. The Emery converts from a crib into a toddler bed, daybed, and proper full-sized bed with headboard, so your baby can use this bed throughout their childhood. A daybed rail is included, but to convert to a full-sized bed, you’ll need to buy a separate conversion kit.

    Strollers

The Britax Brook+ stroller is smooth and sturdy, earning a top notch score for maneuverability. It has built-in convenience with large cup holders (hello, hydration) and it is self-standing when folded, which is really helpful for storage whether you live in an urban or suburban setting. It is compatible with the Britax Willow and Willow S infant car seats, and some Nuna,Cybex or Maxi-Cosi seats.

If you’re looking for a travel system to take on the road, you can’t do much better than the Chicco Bravo Trio, which is designed to transport newborns, infants, or toddlers. “The Chicco Bravo Trio shines in both car seat and stroller performance,” says Joan Muratore, who oversees CR’s stroller testing. It’s the top-rated travel system in our tests. This nearly 25-pound model is easy to use and maneuver, and it gets an excellent rating in our safety tests. The included Chicco KeyFit30 car seat also earns excellent ratings across the board. It weighs just 9 pounds and is “a breeze to transport,” according to Muratore. It’s also one of the simplest to install using a vehicle’s LATCH system or seat belts, increasing your odds of getting a secure fit.

The Britax Grove Stroller is on sale for $346, and Amazon is offering an additional $42 off at checkout—just add it to your cart for the full discount. It tops CR’s maneuverability test and earns top marks for very easy, one-handed folding. It is a little large when folded but it’s self-standing, which means it takes up less space in between strolls. The stroller gets kudos from our testers for offering a reversible seat, which lets you pick which way your little one faces. It is compatible with the Britax Willow, Willow S, Willow SC, and Cypress infant car seats, along with some Nuna, Cybex, and Maxi-Cosi seats—no adapters needed. Alas, it lacks cupholders.

The Delta Children Jeep PowerGlyde Plus is a lightweight stroller that stands out for its safety and for its especially ample canopy, which will help shield your child from rain and strong sunshine alike. Our testers found it highly maneuverable, too, though it’s a little unsteady on rough terrain (which isn’t uncommon for lightweight strollers). It’s pretty light and easy to carry at 14 pounds, and while it doesn’t fold with one hand or stand on its own when folded, it folds up to an extra-small size that won’t take up too much space at home or in the car. The stroller’s seat reclines (though not far enough to make it suitable for infants under 6 months old), and it has a decent-sized basket, though it can only accommodate something as large as a diaper bag with the seatback fully upright.

    Digital Thermometers

The Alcedo digital thermometer earned top marks for accuracy and consistency, and despite its very reasonable price, it’s packed with features. This model can be used as an in-ear thermometer and, when an included cap is affixed over the probe, it can also be used as a forehead thermometer. It isn’t used with disposable plastic probe caps, so it needs to be thoroughly cleaned after every in-ear use. But our testers found that it was quite easy to clean. The memory recall on this thermometer stores up to 20 temperature readings. You can also use the forehead mode to measure the temperature of objects, such as bottles of formula.

    Nail Clippers

    Yiveko Baby Nail Kit

    Yiveko Baby Nail Kit

The Yiveko nail clippers are back down to their best price. Plus, they were among the sharpest our evaluators tried. They’re on the smaller side, so those with big hands may have a little trouble getting a comfortable grip. The nail kit comes with an owl-shaped case as well as nail scissors, a glass rounded nail file, and soft, nonslip tweezers.

    Baby Carriers

    Infantino Flip 4-in-1 Convertible Carrier

    Infantino Flip 4-in-1 Convertible Carrier

The Infantino Flip 4-in-1 Convertible Carrier is a no-frills, budget-friendly pick that gets so many things right. It can be adjusted to three positions: in front while facing in, in front while facing out, and back carry. It features padded shoulder straps that one mother says are comfortable and a mesh design. This isn’t the carrier that does it all, but it is a respectable choice that’s about one-third or less the price of the other carriers we evaluated.

    Breast Pumps

    Elvie Pump

    Elvie Pump

The Elvie Pump is one of the best breast pumps we’ve evaluated and has conveniences like two breast size shield options, in 24 and 28 millimeters. (You can purchase a 21-mm shield and 15-, 17-, and 19-mm nipple cushions through Elvie’s website if needed.) The Elvie Pump has two modes (stimulation and expression) and seven intensity settings. Some other unique features include two bra adjusters, which can help add more room in bras for an optimal fit, and a pump that connects to a mobile app that can be used to monitor milk output and control and track pumping sessions.

    Baby Bottle Sterilizers

This Hauteur sterilizer is down to the best price we’ve seen, thanks to the on-page coupon. Its design was intuitive and easy to use. It’s “auto mode” runs both a sanitizing and a drying cycle, and a digital timer shows the progress while they run. It also has selectable drying times and a storage mode that restarts the heated dry cycle periodically to keep items clean for up to 72 hours. You can fit up to 11 bottles in the sterilizer. They won’t have their own prong, but with that many bottles, they’ll be close enough together that they won’t fall over.

    Baby Monitors

The Babysense monitor, back down to its best price, comes with its own display and handles the video feed locally, so it doesn’t have the privacy and security issues of internet-connected models. It has a 5-inch 720p display that falls a bit short of the best models we tested, but it should still work fine for most users.

The Eufy Spaceview baby monitor comes with its own display and handles the video feed locally, so it doesn’t have the privacy and security issues of internet-connected models. Our testers reported that the screen is bright, sharp, and relatively large, and they found it to be the easiest monitor to use.

    Humidifiers

A humidifier usually isn’t necessary for your baby’s health. But you may still want one for comfort—for instance, to make your baby’s room feel less dry, especially if you’re getting ready to turn on the AC for the warmer months.

This portable HoMedics humidifier offers solid overall performance and is intended to humidify areas up to 25 square feet. It earns top marks in our noise and efficiency tests, but performs poorly when filled with hard water. Despite this and a few other drawbacks—a short power cord and only two settings—it’s still a solid choice, especially in this price range.

You can’t really go wrong with the HoMedics UHE-CMTF45-GY Total Comfort UV-C, which is designed to humidify small rooms of up to 278 square feet. It’s quiet, energy-efficient, and has top-tier moisture output. It comes with a nightlight feature and has an indicator that shows when you need to clean the humidifier.

    Baby Safety Gates

Regalo’s Easy Step gate can help you set your mind at ease. It’s not only secure but also especially easy to install. Our testers found it easy to use, though you do need two hands to open the gate, which may limit its convenience when you’re carrying a child or anything else. It measures 30¼ inches in height and can span openings from 29 to 38½ inches wide, and you can use it on uneven surfaces.
