Sound quality: Anker SoundCore's Motion Boom had Good overall sound quality - this model reproduces music and dialog reasonably well despite the obvious shortcomings in its sound. With the Custom EQ set for the most even tonal balance, bass has good impact, is slightly prominent, somewhat boomy, and deep bass is lacking. Midrange is a touch nasal, somewhat grainy, hazy and congested, and a bit soft. Treble is fairly extended but is a bit subdued and smeared. Does a so-so job of recovering room ambience and is somewhat congested. When two units are combined to form a stereo pair; its sound stage can be made wider depending on placement. Provides a decent volume level in a medium sized room, sounds strained at higher volumes.

Manufacturer claims fully waterproof with IPX7, Stereo Pairing of two identical Soundcore speakers via TWS button on unit, Soundcore app provides customizable EQ not available on unit. Supports Siri and other compatible digital voice assistants when used with Bluetooth devices that have that feature. Free Soundcore app download for Apple and Android mobile devices can be used to setup Bluetooth connections, check product information and battery status, update unit firmware, switch sound modes and adjust tonal balance, control volume, play/pause, enable voice prompts, access user on-line user manual, store user data, and adjust auto power off time. Unit firmware version 00.39, Apple app version 2.9.4, Android app version 2.9.4.
