Sound quality: Anker SoundCore's Mini 3 Pro had Fair overall sound quality - this model has sonic shortcomings that leave a lot to be desired when listening to music but don't rule it out for dialog. With the Custom EQ set for the most even tonal balance without causing bass distortion, bass has decent impact, is a bit boomy and subdued, doesn't go deep, and the dynamic range may sound compressed with some program material. The bass distortion occurs when the low frequency eq settings are raised to provide the most even tonal balance overall. Midrange is a bit thin, but is somewhat grainy, a bit hazy, and a touch sibilant. Treble is fairly extended, but is somewhat smeared, prominent, and sizzly. Doesn't do a good job of recovering room ambience. Provides a decent volume level in a small sized room, sounds strained at higher volumes, is best suited for near field listening.
