Sound quality: JBL's Go 3 Eco had fair overall sound quality - this model has sonic shortcomings that leave a lot to be desired when listening to music but don't rule it out for dialog. What little bass there is has little impact, is subdued, and deep bass is lacking. Midrange is grainy, somewhat hazy and a bit thin. Treble lacks extension and is dry and somewhat prominent, smeared, and sizzly. Does a so-so job of recovering room ambience and is somewhat congested. The speaker is monophonic. Provides a decent volume level in a small sized room and is best suited for near field listening, at its loudest volume levels, the sound becomes strained.
