Sound quality: House of Marley's Get Together Duo had Good overall sound quality - this model reproduces music and dialog reasonably well despite the obvious shortcomings in its sound. Bass has decent impact, is somewhat subdued, a bit boomy and doesn't go deep. Midrange is somewhat thin and grainy, a bit hazy and edgy. Treble is fairly extended, but is prominent, somewhat sizzly and smeared. Does a so so job of recovering room ambience, sounds a bit congested. No significant difference between Bluetooth, RCA and mini jack input sound quality. Provides a decent volume level in a medium sized room. As a single speaker the overall scores remains the same.
Ease of use: We found the House of Marley Get Together Duo ease of use to be good overall. Unit is always in pairing mode when not already paired, shows a pairing mode indicator. Indicates when pairing mode has occurred and never times out. Controls are obvious, good contrast, unlabeled multi-function, marked +/ - controls , no index markings but has an audible max volume indication. The source selector is an unlabeled multi-function control which is also the power button. There are persistent LED indicators but most colors used are non-universal (Red for line-in mini-jack, Purple for line-in RCA, Blue for Bluetooth).
