Sound quality: Bose's S1 Pro had acceptable overall sound quality - this model reproduces music and dialog reasonably well despite the obvious shortcomings in its sound. Bass has good impact and goes fairly deep, but is a somewhat prominent and boomy. Midrange is fairly even, but is somewhat hazy and grainy and a bit echoey. Treble is fairly extended, but is a touch subdued, and a bit smeared, sizzly and papery. It does a decent job of recovering the actual room ambience from the recording but the echoey quality of the midrange adds an artificial sense of room ambience, and the overall sound is a bit congested. The speaker is monophonic. When two units are used as a stereo pair the sound stage can be made wider depending on placement. No significant difference between Bluetooth and Aux sound quality. Provides a decent volume level in a large sized room.

<p>3 Hour Quick Charge is possible. There are no tone controls for Bluetooth and Aux input but the unit PDF manual claims an overall "Auto EQ". The unit can be positioned horizontally for vertically and can be inclined for "monitor performance" use. Supports Siri and Google digital voice assistants when used with Bluetooth devices that have that feature. Two speakers can be paired to achieve left/right Stereo Pairing or Dual Mono/Daisy chain. Free Bose Connect app download for Apple and Android mobile devices can be used to setup Bluetooth connections, check product information and battery status, update unit firmware, enable party mode, control volume and play/pause, next/prev track, user manual, and adjust auto off timer.
