"The display screen would go blank randomly on many occasions. The only fix was to stop and turn the car off and restart. It was like rebooting a computer. It was annoying when this happened because you could not control the air conditioner or radio or see the route you were driving to. It was a serious problem and VW never had a solution. The repeated trips to the dealership was no help because there was no computer update available to fix the problem."

"Sometimes (once every 3 months) the screen wont activate when the car starts. You have to restart the system by holding down its power button."

"The wireless cell phone charger really doesn't charge your phone. It may keep it at level while navigating but won't allow it to get more charge. Seems like a poor product and sometimes the phone becomes very hot."

"Occasionally (1/week) android auto will not connect and there is no way to get it to connect. I can usually plug the phone in and mirror it when this occurs but it is kind of annoying"

"Vehicle recall. After it was checked and found to need a cell replacement but was told to keep driving it while parts were obtained. Shortly after got a battery drive train error. Then a cell replaced. Another few weeks got the same error again, another cell was replaced. Both times car in shop for about ten days."

"The DC to DC voltage converter charges the 12V battery by reducing the voltage of the high voltage battery to a level that will charge the 12V battery. The converter failed; the car lost 12V power and would not run. As of this writing, the car is still in the shop. (The failure happened a few weeks ago and it took time for the dealer to obtain the part.) The car may be ready for pickup in a day or two."
