    Exterior lights (other than headlights)

Anonymous, IL (2022 Toyota Sienna XLE 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)
    Other electrical system problem

"Toyota coats all wiring with food grade oil to help preserve the wires. Squirrels ate the engine wiring harness. Had it replaced at our Toyota dealership. They parked our car outside the repair garage. So they called us that the car was fixed. We live almost two hours away. Had to wait a day. We got a phone call telling us the squirrel had chewed up the rear wiring harness. So at a cost of over $10,000 dollars, which our USAA insurance paid the majority of the bill. The fix? We now have mothballs in thin socks in the engine compartment and put fresh ones every 3-4 months."

It is now May 2024, and have not yet has not yet taken delivery, so haven't been able to drive it. I keep asking the dealer about it and he answers politely, but still no vehicle. It's very frustrating for me and I'm not sure what I can do about it, other than keep waiting."

"battery died while in the garage. jumped. died after one trip to the store. Replaced under warrantee as part of replacing auto door unit (dealer determined battery died due to defective unit that draws on the battery all the time/not in use) - the unit allows for one to put his/her foot under the side door area and have the door open automatically."
