"Auto technician had replaced squealing belt, the squealing came back. Then replaced belt and tensioner. After about 1000 squealing came back. Finally used different vendor for tensioner and new belt to resolve problem."

BUT, the vibrates a little when I start it and it doesn't sound right to me when I start it. It worries me. The car doesn't feel the same to me, but I can't put my finger on why: Is it real or paranoia?"

Before I added a small amount of K SEAL stop-leak it was evident as fog on the inside of the windshield. Also, made sure that the coolant overflow reservoir was not overfilled. The mechanic suggested that the coolant smell was coming from the engine bay through the cowling."

"It developed a leak - a rare event. No cause found. Dealer replaced differential but new one leaked. Tried again, still leaked. Factory rep found installation didn't press one part in tight enough. Getting parts was a concern as not many were on the Subaru distribution center shelf. Fix finally worked after 3-4 weeks with a free loaner car. I am pleased with the repair, although not a cheap repair. Are any repairs cheap? Car is doing great."

"Noticed oil leak under rear axle at about 106000 miles. Shop said rear differential bushing were leaking and needed to be replaced. Problem was resolved by replacing the bushings. Repair cost $1481."

"Would not turn over(engine) on turning key / shift lever would not move / stuck -both problems at same time and or individually- had to stick screw driver into slot by shifter lever to override(?safty neutral switch) this was an intermittent problem that even the Subaru dealer did not solve or troubleshoot. Their solution was change the battery - was not a battery issue-(had a similar problem with a 2003 Subaru) in the past."

"I had a 10 year, 120000 mile extended warranty. The transmission started making noises and quickly got worse after the warranty period. The transmission had to be replaced at 133000 miles at a cost of $8,300. The service rep stated that the newer transmission was being put in that didnt have the same issues as the one that came with the 2014 model. The vehicle had been serviced at the Subaru dealer it was purchased at consistantly. It was frustrating and disappointing that the transmission issue wasnt noticed at the previous services. I wrote a message to Subaru which generated no response."
