Anonymous, MO (2014 Subaru Outback 2.5i 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"Car died twice while driving, meaning engine and all systems completely shut down instantly. Second time was after leaving mechanic shop after faulty fuse replaced. Then towed car to dealer - took 2 weeks to diagnose that it was an electrical wire where the rubber coating had worn off due to repeatedly coming into contact with a metal plate below, deep in the engine block - a total fluke but could have led to a fatal accident. Dealer provided a brand-new loaner vehicle during the entire period so getting around and getting to work was never a problem. Notified Subaru headquarters via online form. Dealer had to dismantle and remove entire engine block just to find the cause of the superficial problem, which was a blown fuse each time."
