What Owners Say
"There was vibration when moving which changed when going in reverse. It was a broken u-joint. Replaced both u-joints and problem disappeared. I consider it normal wear for 214,000 miles"
Anonymous A., UT (2001 Ford F-150 XL 5.4-L V8)"O/D stopped working about 214,000 miles. Replaced blown fuse which resulted in O/D resumed working for 10 miles. Found wire coming from O/D switch on gear shift lever had worn hole in insulation rubbing against steering column. Taped bare wire area heavily with electrical tape. Replaced fuse and O/D has continued to operate normally since."
Anonymous A., UT (2001 Ford F-150 XL 5.4-L V8)"Made a roaring noise. Had it repaired. The truck is 24 years old so problems expected."
