It’s based on the Ultium electric platform that General Motors uses for all of its EVs, including the midsized Lyriq, the three-row Vistiq, and the mammoth Escalade IQ. Sizewise and mechanically, the Optiq is most similar to the Chevrolet Equinox EV. In fact, the two vehicles are even built at the same factory in Mexico.
